At Our Village Consulting, our mission is to champion equitable outcomes for K-12 students through effective family and community engagement strategies that center marginalized voices. We aim to initiate systemic change by providing high-quality professional learning and consultation services to school leaders, empowering them to build strong partnerships with families and communities. Our core belief is that by prioritizing these crucial connections, we can unlock the full potential of every student and drive increased achievement across all demographics.

About Our Founder

Dr. Krystal L. Clemons is the Founder and CEO of Our Village Consulting. She has served in school counseling and counselor education for over 15 years. Her passion is rooted in helping K-12 educators ensure success for ALL students. Before serving as a school counselor educator (her current position), Dr. Clemons served as a professional school counselor for six years. In 2021, The American School Counselor Association recognized her during Black History Month 2021 as one of the Black school counseling professionals who has made significant contributions to the field.

Dr. Clemons created The Village Model of Community Engagement© to bring educators, families, and community partners together to support marginalized student success. A dedicated wife of a United States Marine Corps veteran and very proud two-time #girlmom, Dr. Clemons is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Keith Amáris Clark Freeman

Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Strategic Leader | Educator | Advocate for Respect and Restoration

Keith serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Our Village Consulting (OVC), where he combines over a decade of experience in education with a deep commitment to cultural restoration and personal empowerment. As a current classroom teacher, instructional mentor and school leader, Keith has consistently worked to improve educational outcomes for African American students by promoting relationship-centered, culturally affirming practices.

Throughout his career in public education, Keith has led professional development, designed and implemented behavior frameworks, and coached educators to build stronger, more respectful relationships with students and families. His leadership at OVC focuses on operational strategy, program development, and scaling initiatives that reflect the lived experiences and voices of the communities served.

Grounded in the belief that respect is the foundation of positive learning environments, Keith brings clarity, compassion, and vision to his role—ensuring that every program, partnership, and policy upholds the values of trust, dignity, integrity and cultural excellence.
